How about yesterday in the gpsteamchallenge!!!

On a quick count so far 48 individual sailors, representing 13 teams from 6 different states have all logged sessions on the same wintery day!

That must be a record. Speeds weren't massive but nevertheless there were plenty of PBs in that lot (and a couple of nasty stacks).

Congratulations to everyone for being part of a great...err...thing!!

Not as bad as it looked - gear all intact apart from a ripped sail. My nose has been remodelled as a flatter, benter version of the original and I have to have it re-broken next week after the swelling goes down, so that they can make it straight again. Until then you can call me Dennis Cometti.

Was out on the Manta 49 at Melville Beach with the 5.8 and doing precisely 30.66 knots when I spun out and dug the leeward rail. In a split second I had executed a perfect facial-boom plant. The thing is that I'm not really into freestyle!

There was a fair bit of claret so I'm glad it didn't happen out the back of Lano where the noahs may have been lurking!

Lao Shi was blasting past and was kind enough to float to shore with me and John Norton & Slowy were kind enough to take care of my kit while I went off to hospital. Good on ya guys for that!

Geez the GPS Challenge can be great fun, but there is no need to get your nose all bent out of shape over it

glad to hear you are OK Chris, the first reports of smashed nose and blood sounded pretty rough. I am really glad I had a helmet and PFD on yesterday. I would be in a fair bit ore pain now than I am.... and I still hurt
