Ordered a GT-31,

There seems to be at least two gps sites, www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx and gpsteamchallenge.com.au

What the best site, blog, or whatever for a new starter... Looking forward to finding out if my idea of warp factor 9 is is actually just 20knots

+1189 sailors registered on the GPS Team challenge.

Where abouts do you predominately sail as there's a few NSW teams that would be more than happy to take you under their wing?

There are a number of (GPS Team Challenge) teams to choose from around here, but the truth is, it is just one big team out there sailing & having fun.
If you go to Botany, Lake Illawarra, Lake Macquarie & many locations up & down the coast, there will be multiple teams represented.

You can just about go anywhere in Australia & find someone from GPSTC to have a sail with

I've recently joined a GPSTC team and think its a great way to get involved in the windsurfing community. it seems a very friendly and encouraging environment.
I will keep on with GPS speedsurfing, because it gives me more statistical info, but for the local, social interaction, GPSTC is definitely the go.

No reason at all why you can't be in both, they provide different functions GP3s is for individual records, GTC is for team competition and social interaction.
If you are quick about it you'll be able to order a GTC t-shirt, so anywhere in Aus you'll be recognised as one of the family.
