Peter has just uploaded a new version of GPSspeadreader
ecwindfest.org/GPS/GPSSpeedreader.html

This fixes a bug that didn't process any UBX file after 31/12/19

I had no problems with mine yesterday

Just a small thing.

Can we get thew version number included in the file and zip file name and that way we know which one is which?

That's because this silly old fart forgot it only affects .UBX files

I normally check the version number after I've updated and rename the zip file, and old active file, but can't do that with the new file, because it won't work with my launcher.

Theoretically, yes, but that would create a bit of extra work and (more importantly) a few more places where things can get messed up (since I'd have to also update the download links every time).

As Mike has pointed out, you can always check the version from within GPSSpeedreader by using the "About" menu. On Windows and Mac, you can also check the version of the application in the Explorer resp. Finder windows. As for the dowloaded ZIP archives, you can compare the file date with the release dates listed on the download page (ecwindfest.org/GPS/GPSSpeedreader.html - I just added the dates, you may need to reload the page if you don't see the dates).

I wasn't thinking about putting it in the program itself because as you put it it would be more work, I was referring to the file name itself ie
GPSSpeedreader.exe.zip
Could be
GPSSpeedreader1.3.2.exe.zip

It's no biggie as I had been doing what you suggested anyway.

Brilliant - thanks again.

The only change in this version is about reading UBX files. There's nothing that should change behavior on Catalina. The previous version had fixed an issue with the Google Earth interaction that may have affected you.

Anyway, I very much appreciate hearing about problems anyone has with GPSSpeedreader. Most problems can be fixed quickly. Please sent me a private message or post here, with screenshots or links to files on ka72.com if possible. Problems are often specific to computer setup or files, so I may never see them without reports.
