Some assistance please!
My old faithful GT31 has decided stop recording data. Further, when I ask it to "Save to Card" it comes up as "FAIL".
I've purchase a new 2GB card and opened the unit up to ensure there is no corrosion within, (none found). I even made sure all the connectors are positioned correctly so they touch the card when inserted.
Can it be fixed or is she stuffed?

That's interesting, there's been a lot of this happening in the last few days.
I have a vague memory of being able to download the sbp file with the utility, but I'm not sure how well it'll work with an up to date OS

I'm now wondering if there's something like the millennium bug in the firmware. It's a big coincidence that several are all failing at once.

Make sure the SD card is formatted correctly. Use the format facility in the GT31.
I think it is in the memory card menu. Format it to FAT16

I pulled out my old GT31 and recorded a quick file, it was saved to card and could process it, so nothing unusual. Firmware is V1.4(B0315C)

Jay if you have no success I have the guts of a GT11 that still works welcomed to it, no case or battery but have tested and the guts are all good, plus it'll probably add a knot or two to your speeds
