Our glorious competition coordinator Hardie Softboy put out the invite last week.

"Come on down and soak up the magnificent Mandurah conditions" he said.

"It's world class down here" he claimed, "Never fails to go off!"

Big call, we thought, but he IS the guru, knows his stuff, local legend and all that.

Have a look at what he laid on for us

They were just watching to see how to do those Low(no) wind stall gybes you were executing with annoying ease, Did you fall in at all on any of those?

Thanks Elmo, that's what happens when you spend hours in the waves in subplanning conditions. You should come and join me more often. Your excuse of not being able to go slow was blown that day, you were chugging around as well as anybody!!!

I certainly fell in, but I don't think that was on a gybe, just when the wind stopped completely and I sunk.

Even though it was prety crap day it was great fun meeting the all the crew you get to sort of know via this forum. It was a refreshing change for me as i usually sail on my pat malone down my way.

I look forward to the day when its going off at 25-30knts and all the crew are there pushing each other to go faster and faster.
