From Andy Laufer:
As a part of Prince of Speed 2020 La Palme - Occitanie, I had the opportunity, to do a few runs with the 2 fastest windsurfers in the world - Antoine Albeau / France and Vincent Valkenaers / Belgium. Tried some new cam angles with my brandnew Hero9Black. Also tried to go as close as possible to my teammates, wich is not always easy in those conditions. Winds between 30 and 70! knots wich was insane! At lunch time nature told us to have a break, it was not even possible to start. If you crash or wipeout in those winds, your gear is gone. After about 3 hours we hit the water again and had great fun Speed Windsurfing again. Unfortunately we could't start the WordSpeedTour as it was too risky for the rescue boat. Our speeds were around 90 - 94 km/h Topspeeds. Not the fastest day but a day to remember, soo beautiful!

Antoine was on JP Australia Speed Proto 40 / Neil Pryde EVOXII 5.2
Vincent was on a series JP Speed 45 / Neil Pryde EVOXII 5.2
Andy was on a series JP Speed 45 / Neil Pryde EVOXI 5.2 (did not revieve a EVOXII in 5.2 yet)

You know it's windy when the big guys are on 5.2s . Some great shots and board control.

Slightly off topic though still with a speed focus - have really been enjoying some of Andy Laufer's awesome Go-Pro POV video footage of late and here's another couple of vids worthy of sharing:

Why does Andy have his harness lines so far back but his front hand almost touching the mast. It seems to work for him but don't understand why

If you're talking about the other Neil Pryde team rider he nailed in the butt then maybe it was deliberate!!!

Probably could have got an extra 1/10 of a knot without all those GoPros.... But glad he attached them all so us mere mortals can see what it is like to go balls out at the top.

My guess, he's powered to Da Max n may need to push back with front hand if sail starts to luff?
