Improved GPS accuracy

Looks like we'll see an improvement on gps accuracy in phones and u-blox gps systems in the coming year. The Ruskies are updating the firmware on their GLONASS gps birds to reduce tropospheric and ionospheric interference by 70 to 80%. Not sure if it will be of any benefit to GW-60 GPS watches we use, can't find any mention of Locosys using GLONASS tracking on the GW-60.

I have the impression the GW60 doesn't use GLONASS

Read article online that Russian system not as accurate as GPS. Own measurement seemed to confirm this. Maybe Russians are upgrading to match other providers accuracy.
