I'm glad the locals are fighting the fight for us. I suppose some bureaucrat is trying to justify their existence ?. This is normally the reason.

I've read the documents and they're proposing no change for anyone in LG. If you have concerns complete the online survey . It might mean we get better parking, launch facilities and a larger voice in the community for our sport.

I took the survey. One thing many councils do in SA is put up sharp/pointy fences, or narrow stairways to protect the coastline. This hinders access from rigging area to water line, and is impossible to carry a sail through if it's over 20 kts - unless you like a hole in it. There is no hint that the Dept of Environment/Water (which is state govt, not council etc, but govt/authority none the less..) will do this to the areas we use, but just to say that one council in particular killed a remote spot for me when they made it too difficult to rig equipment and then launch. When I wrote to this council, they gave me lip service BS about following AS/NZS standards. I mentioned in the survey our requirement for ease of access from land to the water.
