I had more trouble after further testing my GW-52 uploading my results onto KA-72 to find its not working again so then tried uninstalling the utility then reinstalling it then found its now uploading on KA-72 and its giving me my results.

I can't think of any reason either of those actions would have changed anything with regards to KA72. I am not even sure what you would mean by 'resetting' the GPS, unless you had somehow had turned logging off before and have now turned it back on.

I still think you have an issue with KA72, not with the files from the GPS.

Did you run the GPS files in any other analysis software like RealSpeed, GPSAR-Pro or GPS-Results?

Yeah I tried a number of other applications such as GPS results and GPS Visualiser. All provided me with nil result.

When I said that I reset the device, I selected the 'factory reset' from within the settings on the GP102. Whether this essentially wiped the six or so tracks that I had stored in the device, I'm not sure. All I know is that I'm back up and running and that makes for a happy me!

Daff, I clicked on reset in settings on the utility but that didn't do much only resets the device. But after un and reinstalling the utility all is good So Far.
Yes GPS Results would read my files while KA-72 would not I didn't try Realspeed.

If GPS-Results could read them that suggests to me that the files were fine . Also suggests there is something going on with KA72.

I have not had any trouble with any files from the GW-52 reading in the aforementioned 3 stand alone programs. But I don't normally use KA-72 so can't comment on if it reads my files.

That does look like there was a problem with the files from the Canmore then. Maybe they were corrupted and wiping the memory and starting again fixed it.
