Looks like the Pit Crew are staking a claim for the overall title in 2008, with some excellent recruiting for 2008, and great conditions of late, they are definitely staking a claim for the trophy to return to it's place of creation.

The handicap was for teams starting late, or OS teams, and some other reason I can't remember?.

Slowboat still hasn't posted his epic session though, this may change the rankings a bit.

It's great to see people really pushing their boundaries

Edit: The handicap column is so that we can adjust the scores to make the mandurah mob win in 2008 Ha ha ha just kidding, it's so that if we have a persistent cheater then we can penalise that team. Also down the road we may use it to make the comp fairer.

How do we use handicap points -
We need more columns to fill out:
1. Number of Team members on beech
2. Time spent with Team members socializing
3. Number of partners on the beech - this would even things up a bit (Well for the Wozzies anyway)

This does not mean that we should sleep with members of our own team to get points

How about a +50 point handicap if a team has "mob" somewhere in the name... That way those Mandurah, Swan River and Moreton Bay Mobsters will be battling to keep the handsome chaps in team pinnas out of the #1 spot (well, maybe the mobsters will be battling to keep pinnas out of the top 5, at least)...

unless he did a shedload of km's i dont think his score will make too much difference.
imo the teams to beat this year are mandurah and the pit crew

We did some calculations on what we needed to do to take the lead in distance and I think we are about 30kms short.I reckon the handicap system should apply if the times(speed) wasn,t done in your HOME waters and you used an airplane to assist you in the great quest to go faster[}:)][}:)] and went faster than the locals

-an unruly crowd
-a collection of animals
-
-the mafia

which term describes which team?

By my rough calculation if Chis's done over 42km that puts you and us in equal 3rd place, behind the pit crew and onboard speed demons.
