Open to windsurfers, foilers and wingdingers, pit yourself against the world to determine who can really go the fastest nautical mile with a twist!

Link is on the homepage. This is a new division for us, so we expect a few hiccups. I've also had to finally get around to porting over the event entry stuff from the old site to the new one, so please please let me know if you have any issues with joining the event!

Thanks very much to Peter Hirst for suggesting this style of competition. It will go onto our regular calendar of events along with Fast Feb and the November Hour of Power.

Loving it allready. I think it has already improved my sailing trying to get a practice slalom run. Stacked a big gybe, I'll get it next time!
For gybes to register do they have to be an alpha, like within 50m gate or can be wider for this competition?

They can be wider. If you take a look at Simon's track in the event preview, that's a pretty good example of a fast downwind run.

Hi Dylan, Looks like fun. Is the preview just a couple of sailors chosen at random? I was there initially but today we had our first wind in forever and would be interesting to see the results from that. However I've disappeared and only 8 sailors out of the 14 show in the preview. It seems to be random, not the top 8. Is there anyway to put all the sailors results on the preview so we can see what works and what doesn't? Or do we have to wait till Sept? The 8 that get a preview of their results sort of get an advantage...not that we are competitive. (i.e. Manually calculating this in GPSSpeedreader for just one attempt I am only 2 secs off AUS02 result but I don't know if my technique is legit to the comp)
