Dear Speesters,

The data base has the possibility of a 6th category, which I thought could be most km's or NM's sailed in a session. This would be the sum total of km's sailed by all team members in a session, divided by the no. of team members that have sailed that session. So you get a team ave.

I think it's another way of evening it out, and those that will never be fastest, have a chance of doing lot's of km's?? So the guns can sail for 30mins and post some hot times, and the distance guys can sail for 2 to 3 hrs and contribute to the team that way?............another way of Getting Fitter!!!!

Whaddya think, give me your opinions?

From one who is in the category of "being real real slow" sounds OK to me. But then again, I am tin fruited after about an hour anyway
Chucking in another category cant hurt, allows for those who like this concept to participate

I do remember some of the people that were taking this very seriously saying the program was very greulling as it was?

So what about that? Is it greulling enough, and would a 6th category just too much for some?

I love the distance idea Hardie. A mate and I wracked up 60km's in one session over xmas in about 3 odd hours from memory. I know I'm certainly not going to be near the top of the outright speeds on our team but I know I'll sail all day if it's needed!

Yeh I think the distance idea is a good one to reward those who deserve it.

Endurance, now you are talking my language Hardie. Love the idea. It's something we QLD's might have a chance at going okay in. Spending a whole day on the water in attempt to crack the distance catagory would be fun. Wonder what my team mayes think of that? Idea's running around already for that one. I know Maximus goes some pretty long distances on a day already.
