I'm in Sanctuary Point on the south coast. It's not a speed spot in a southerly, but hopefully I can get some distance points...

I was there. JP board and NP sail. Rigged the 5.7 to start and then the wind dropped. Rigged the 6.7 and then the wind dropped even further. :(

So what happened boys???
Dont tell me I had family easter stuff on all day and I missed nothing??

Yes the wind was disappointing. I wore my GPS had one planing run and got a speed of 20 knots. Initially the wind was strong while rigging but then it seemed to drop. I rigged a 5.9 Neil Pryde VX2. My first attempt was on a Naish board on loan from Wind Surf and Snow but it was too small and I couldn't get going. I then took the Tabou 140 out and it was the right size but a sail over 7 meters would have been the go.

Long walk home due the strong outgoing tide and the light wind meant making no headway. On the drive home it seemed windier around the airport and we saw some people windsurfing there.

Yep - wasn't to bad at Kyeemagh - Had a lull at about 11am for about half an hour - then sometimes over powered on a 6.3 - sailed comfortably on the plane till 2pm. 95l + 5.5-6.0 seemed to be the combo of choice on the water.
Kyeemagh was a lot flatter (mild chop) than it is usually for that strength wind, I think it was the direction of SSW kept the chop to a min.

It was blowing a gale down here at Sanctuary Point on Thursday night, but friday brought a terribly holey 12 knots. I managed to score just over 25 knots in the smooth water in one of the rare gusts on my 98l + 7.4m.
