if you decide to go with a GW60 and you want it to last, there's a few things to be aware of. Biggest ones are the buttons, when pressed they "vent", in other words the watch is no longer water proof. And if the watch is colder than last time you pressed a button, it will "suck". The buttons are also set in wells that can collect water, so you need to blow the water out of them before pressing buttons. The unfortunate thing about this is, you can't start the hour countdown on the water, neither can you adjust the speed genie to switch between alpha and speed mode on the water.
The connection tabs need to be kept clean, the advice is to rinse in fresh water after a salt water sail. I've no idea about the straps, mine is still good after 4 years, other's have failed within months. I think there was a very bad batch a few years ago, I've seen no data on recent failures. so that problem may have gone away
