Every July has been winter cup month and because I was on holidays in early July, I forgot to just remind GTC, expecting poor Nebbs had done it, but its MY JOB
Great to have a Qld team win some silverware, I'll have it engraved during the week, and send it out, so PM me for the address to send it to!
How can they claim the winter cup ???? Shouldn,t they have to sail in thick rubber with numb fingers and toes like the rest of US....... I,m not jealous......really [}:)] Well done guys
Congratulations to FNQ for winning the Winter Cup for 2010
I'm just so happy for my mob wining the cup, thanks Hards & Nebs I'd like to thank the guys who sailed in very strong winds on speed boards 8km across open water so they could then go for it over shallow reef, the effort for distance finishing in the dark, the others who added to our points and the rest of our great team
I'd especially like to thank Kamikaze Cam for his huge effort with Green Island Speed Week and aligning the moons, thanks mate
And if you think this is a big thing for us you'd be dam right
[u] And if you think this is a big thing for us you'd be dam right
Tis a big thing you guys have beat the best in Australia!!!!!!!!
a bit of decent wind might have had something to do with it...
Somehow the point that these guys sailed over 8km one way in the roughest open ocean on speed gear just to get to the spot and then had the balls to do speed runs in 30cm of water over the reef might be lost on you. To top it off another one of the crazy bastards had to rig his cambered racing sails in chest deep water and still have the energy to punch out some incredible speeds.

I wasn't aware of that. Yes, that definitely shows true dedication to the cause and deserves recognition. Well deserved congratulations FNQ mob!
Don't mind me, I'm just suffering from wind deficiency syndrome... I'll just go back to my cave and hibernate a bit longer.
Congratulations FNQ mob!!! I worthy effort to be sure. Good to see you bounced back in the best way possible after being just pipped at the post last month.
I picked the OZWinter Cup up this morning from the Post Office and Very impressive cup guys, it's a lot flasher than what I was expecting. On behalf of FNQM, biggest mobs of thanks to Hardie and Nebbian, awesome
As soon as I can round a few of my mob up I'll get a photo
