i have a file a txt file that may or may not have someone's PB on it does anyone know of any way to read these file and see how fast he really went ?

help is very welcome as the person in question has not slept for the past few days !!!

I wish I could help as I know who you mean.
But I only have the "Poverty Pack" Foretrex.
Hope someone helps as we would all love to see the posted times.

How was the text file generated?

Have you run it through Real Speed to see if it can read it?

Perhaps rename the file with an .SBN extension and see if it can be read.

Ask the person in question to do a really hard physical activity for a few hours and then have a couple of beers. That will help them sleep.

will try sbn
don't have real speed
and the file was created by gt31 by switching it off but it had not been set up

Try to upload it to KA72.com and see if it loads.

find somebody with registered copy of RealSpeedit has the option to read in a .txt file

can u use realspeed with a mac or is it only with pc

Not good news Paul. it looks as if it only recorded your journey around the car park.

Sounds to me like you have recorded an NMEA file which by default usually comes up with the .txt extension. Realspeed, GPSAR-Pro and GPS-Results can read that file and give you the results.

You need to set up the GPS as outlined on Toms website. Then it will produce the more accurate and more compact .SNB and .SBP files.

Paul sent you through your best results over 4 files other where not usable (like the car park).

I hope there are some PB's in there for you

ka72.com won't process these NMEA files. Only .SBN and .SBP from Navis. Though you can convert the NMEA files to gpx files using GPSBabel or Realspeed or something else, and then ka72.com will work with them.
