just sort of thought i would draw some attention to slow boats effort yesterday at hardies.
sometimes its easy to just shrug of Chris's sailing as.... "ho hum he got another 38"
as its a very regular thing for him to go out (in mostly less than ideal conditions) and then average speeds that most of us have never seen before.
so i thought his effort yesterday was exceptional, not only for his straight line speed but also for his alphas and hour runs.
like the rest of us,he had to deal with weed through out the course- but he still managed to do a 24kn 1 hr through it all!!

this was made even more impressive by the fact he was using an assymetrical fin AND he was stopping regularly to clear the weed from it!!!!
god knows what he would of pulled had he used a fin that was designed for weed and designed for sailing on BOTH tacks
