Made a video of Lake George footage its a mp4 file but because of the copyright music I can't post it on youtube even if its not public, so how can I upload a video file onto a forum post I only get photo options?

Try Vimeo, it seems a bit better

You can strip the audio from the video file. Many editors do this. I use Machete.

Youtube has a huge library of music you can use for videos. They are pre-licensed or public domain.

Speaking of the Youtube music library I used one of their tracks on a windsurfing video years ago and just received an email saying the music I used was subject to copyright lol

You can post it on Youtube,
You just can't make $ from it.
I always put credits at the end and mention the artist and I've never had any issues. I get a message ' copyright claim' but I have no problems posting here or Fb etc..

I always make it unlisted so only people I supply with the link can see it. Smaller audience, maybe that's why I haven't had issues?

Theres also some music sites that let you use sound tracks for free based on some conditions. One is Bensound which I have used and there are others as well.
