after breaking 4 chinook tendons in one season i changed to a north base which is good for wavesailing but I still need a decent base for speed sailing.

is there any better bases for speed sailing???

The good ol' Boge uni' works for me. Haven't broken one for a loooong time.
They have the advantage of being shorter than many tendon types which is good for keeping the rig low to the deck.
