(how do I anti-jinx the wind now?)
By leaving your weed fin at home.
Definitely bring water. Lake is low at the moment, and getting lower by the day, can only sail the channel.
Hi evlPanda I just came back from Smiths Lake there for two weeks sailed most days from the sandbar caravan access or Patsys flat road access short runs in a NE wind but fun any way and gusty as in funnels though the hills. Better when its SE longer runs and wind cleaner. or if venturous in a very strong Nwind drive back on lakes way and back to the start of smith lake as you approach from Bulahdelah and long runs and strong wind or drive to Wallis either way there is a place to sail. ok hope it helps.
kind regards Walt
Sweet. Short runs and flat water mean it's gybe time! I enjoy nothing better than power gybes on smooth water : D
