I've been looking at the Avanti sails and the look pretty good. Anyone know if there are any in Brisbane area yet? Would like to check em out.. Cheers Dave
Dam wind. I drifted my way out into deeper water and drifted around for about 1/2 hr, then the wind came back in a little again.. just enough to get on the plane with the 9.3 with as much draught as I could get out of it. Slowly it picked up so I tacked up to Wello and headed out around Green Is. When I got out the back of Green, the wind dropped out to about 3 knots. I Drifted downwind towards the northern channel and was back inside Green when the wind picked up just enough for me to plane back to the mud bath at Wynnum.
Whole trip took about 2 hours with max speed of 20knots and mostly probable 4 or 5 knots.. Good to get some fresh air though... Fingers crossed for next weekend... Wind will probably dissapear when the Avanti 10 turns up though.. lol.
