I am planning on heading up to Bowen from Mackay this weekend for a sail.

I am going up Friday night and back Sunday arvo. Others are planning a day trip Saturday (with option to stay over it is it really blowing).

I will be heading down very early fri morning and heading back sun arvo,will see how many Tsv guys I can talk into coming.Its lookin gooood

Looks like its going to be a pearla, Couple of us locals taking thurs and fri off , Charts are showing good wind into next week. The place to be for the weekend is front beach sailing club, tides arnt the best but doesn't matter, be early, best wind is always from 8am to 11am, after that it can swing so we can always relocate or upsize, But if you are going to make the effort to get here and want a blast on your small gear please BE EARLY. Thursday until midnight: SE winds 15/20 knots, increasing to 20/30 knots offshore during the evening. Inshore afternoon E/NE sea breezes 15/20 knots. Seas to 2.5 metres offshore. Isolated showers.
Friday: SE winds 15/20 knots, reaching 20/30 knots offshore. Lighter S'ly winds inshore early. Inshore afternoon E/NE sea breezes 15/20 knots. Seas 2.5 metres offshore. Isolated showers.
Saturday: SE winds 20/30 knots. Lighter winds inshore early.
Sunday: SE winds 20/25 knots.


Central Coast Waters, Bowen to St Lawrence:
Thursday until midnight: SE winds 20/25 knots. Seas to 2.2 metres in open waters. Isolated showers.
Friday: SE winds 20/25 knots. Lighter S/SW winds inshore early. Seas to 2.2 metres in open waters. Isolated showers.
Saturday: SE winds 20/25 knots. Lighter S/SW winds inshore early.
Sunday: SE winds 20/25 knots.

I'm good for Saturday, whats the go at the sailing club wormy, flatish or B&J ?

Great to see all on the water, for those that went home saturday, sunday provided more of the same although a bit stronger with a better tide with lots of ramps along the sand flats.
