That's two days in row that the forecast has been utterly dismal but the wind turned up anyway. Yesterday's was a northeaster. Today's was a southeaster. The thing they had in common was expected storms that didn't turn up until very late.
I guess if there's a chance of a thermal you just have to watch the graphs as the wind comes, or doesn't.
