the caretakers who were at Boreen Point during the 90's were great, sounds like they've changed for the worse

It was always a good spot as its close to shops/the pub if you can't be bothered cooking. The pub used to have roast on sunday lunch. Facilities were excellent. Can get extremely busy during sailing regattas. When the waters a bit low you may have a bit of a walk depending on the size of your fin. The bottom in the middle was always a bit muddy but wasn't too deep so water starts weren't always required if you fell off.
If you're camping and theres no wind, Noosa is only 30min drive or you can climb the King of the Mountain @ Pomona
