I was down at manly and was struggling to water start or even stand on my board. As soon as i sheet out with my sail i struggle to hold the sail up without it being powered. I met Murarrie for the first time and he gave me a quick go on him gear. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!, thanks a lot. So much easier and lighter. He had a go on my gear and hated it lol . When i finally got up and going i got planing out past the wall. My first fall i landed right on a jellyfish. I thought i was dying but Murarrie set me straight, thanks for that to Overall nothing really went my way today, got a bit frustrated at times (everyone on shore probably heard), but still met some great people and ran into a few people i already knew.
PS. Good to see you again to, Simon

No i didn't put footstrap's on, i would rather wait for you so you can tell me what im doing wrong. And when i went from your gear to mine i thought it was heavier because it was bigger, but holy @#$% Big difference between my gear and Murarrie's. And i like the thinner boom much better. I'll be down there tomorrow, cya down there.

No worries Aussiex, always good to meet another sailboarder learning the ropes. LOL! But I didnt hate you rig it was just much harder to use in those lighter winds, ie too hard to waterstart and the was board too thin to uphaul. Bit of a hard mix. I will be down again tomorrow afternoon as my dad wanted a go on my board but I didnt seem him as I swapped rigs with you and then the wind increased. I might bring down my 6.5 tomorrow and give it a go and my dad can have a go as well. Cheers Tristan.
