The people who organised the very successful Learn to Windsurf Series and Trailer have asked that I get you all involved in a quick survey to help gain some knowledge about peoples thoughts about the sport and how to improve it and the industry. Can you all log onto the site below and fill in the survey, it is really quick and easy to do and gives you the ability to have your say about the industry and where it should be heading.

Just copy the link below into your address bar and you will be directed to the survey page

www.surveymonkey(dot)com/s/YNSJC99 - Just write the dot com normally, for some reason my post gets rejected if I write the actual dotcom.

Please get behind these guys and do the survey. It takes a big commitment to run a program like this and the more they learn from it the better it will be for the industry as a whole.

Best Regards, Scot Farley (President Windsurfing Queensland)

LTWS Background:
----------
The Learn to Windsurf Series has travelled around Australia during the 2010/11 season, with the last event held on the Gold Coast over the Easter weekend. The Series was created by NeilPryde, JP-Australia and their network of passionate retailers and clubs around the country. The goal has been to introduce as many people as possible to the sport of windsurfing and give experienced windsurfers a chance to demo the latest equipment – all for free.

The LTWS was a huge success with no less than 52 learn to windsurf and demo days run in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, ACT and Tasmania. Participation ranged from about 30 to over 120 people getting on the water each day, many for the first time.

Hi Scott
Good idea, I filled in form and put in my 10 cents worth.
I think it important we help promote the sport.
As it is clean green and health promoting.

I have asked Stephan to provide a summary that I can post on this forum so the whole industry can learn from the input. Hopefully that will come back as an executive summary so everyone can put it to good use from manufacturers and retailers to the club committees.

Although it was a Neil Pryde trailer the organisers have been very forward in saying it was done for the benefit of the whole industry and this I think is a very necessary part of its success.
