Whaddayamean Gestalt - you can ballroom dance on one of those formula boards so I don't think a bit of freestyling would be out of the question.

PS - anyone got evidence of someone looping a formula board (I recall seeing a sequence of someone looping a mistral equipe longboard)

I will definitely be heading to Queen's on Sunday afternoon hoping for a big sail blast if the seabreeze kicks in.

I think Patrice Belboech looped one of the Kona longboards.

steve allen looped his mistral in front of me at the nationals years back and split it in 2 (he was finishing his second lap i was finishing my 1st)

yes i have done OD type freestyle on the forumla kit. but sailing backwinded is real tough with the power in the sail.

recliffe is not tide affected which is a big plus. i might wait to see where the wind comes from.

going to make a move around 11-12, providing there is atleast some wind.
Redcliff sounds like the go, very shallow there to isnt it?

Monday and Tuesday is certainly starting to look the goods... although I guess you probably wouldn't classify it as "light wind"

Yeah! I'd pay to see that ( Gesty looping his formula board that is )
Adrian used to do helitacks on his formula gear with a 10m race sail. And he used to back loop it at the Goldie.... True (except the bit about the back loops)

Push tacks are one of the many things that I find elusive. I've been trying for a donkey's age and I only get one in 50, so yeah, I'd be in that. Where are you going, Queens?

<edit> durr yes Queens. See ya there.

Im good for queens, unless anyone can suggest a spot. Stopped at sandgate on my way home to watch all the kite surfers 30+ . does anyone ever sail there becuase that would be a awesome spot.
Had a good little session at south queens, was only out 50 mtrs as it was pretty flat and shallow, trying to flip the rig, heli tacks, nose sinks, board 360's, push tack ( ankle smashers ) etc etc. Its all good fun, would be good to have someone down there that can actually do this stuff, have to keep running back to the van and consulting my tricktionary book.

As i dont have a job yet im pretty good for monday too

ps, anyone need an electrician??
