..12:40..still up and down. max gust 20.8 knots...I'm heading down about oneish.

its a bit windy at manly west rite now , betting it will be a great day down at manly .

Great arvo.... apart from perforated eardrum and huge black bruise on my back. Day 1 of forward looping was less successful that I had hoped for. My guess is I am about 90 degrees around, only another 270 to go.

I think I will be wearing ear muffs next time.

Scot good to hear that the futura worked for you get any jump on the big board. Good to here it came in after I left as per normal.

There was also a new freestyle trick invented. A single ballet dancer style pirouette, followed by a face plant. In the tradition of tricks it is named after a "Star Trek" character, and in in this case also after the inventor of the trick...........The "Scottie"....

Ha, the wind caught me there when I wasn't prepared for it. Still, not as embarrassing as doing it on the start line for the Green Island Marathon - that was an even better one where I went careening off downwind at high speed before going over the front with all the spectators watching. Looking up to see all your competitors half way to Green is a bit depressing.

Nothing wrong with big boards, I was on 100L board and a 4.2 sunday! Imagine having to swim back through those jellies [}:)]

Speaking of crashes, I had a massive one right in front of richie i think, dunno what happened, started to gybe in the flat, caught a rogue ripple and next thing I know I was in the water haha! quite possibly the worst gybe attempt ever witnessed.
