yep unfortunately it is. the last spot north is double island point. can be fickle and needs a big E / SE swell to wrap around and a strong SE as it's really offshore.

anything north of there is blocked by fraser island and the reef. can be some good jumping spots along the way (elliot heads is OK on it's day - just think starboard tack corros but not as good).

best pack the slalom gear or just the fishing rod - cause there ain't no waves

You could always pop up and see me in Yeppoon - no DTL stuff but I'd give you a beer afterwards. Have sailed agnes water recently and definitely no DTL sailing when windy (which is all onshore) although maybe some local boys know of side shore / off shore spot. There's always the reef around the capricorn group - Heron, North West Is. etc.

PS - I've got a boat (Southern Star - centre console banana boat) so if you make the move I'll take you out for a trawl.

Meant to say we get our fair share of wind here. Also I spoke to Gaz the other day and i think he's got a contract in Gladstone starting in a month.

agnes near surf club is side shore in a SSE-SE wind which is also when the swell is best.

wreck rock south of agnes is cross off but I've not sailed it. I know nothing about access there either.

DTL in qld you can count the location on 3 fingers that fire regularly.

Sailed there last month so unless you know something I don't it's definitely not side shore in a SE. Also the waves are mushy shore breaks when windy and nothing like what Troppo would get excited over.

Mate I was standing right next to you the other Sunday or Sat at the river mouth Caloundra in the Westerly as we were waiting for enough wind just to be able to stand on our boards.

I then saw you put up a post about what a great day it was. I think you may be a glass is over flowing sort of guy.

Hi Sausage - Troppo was on the same plane to Perth last week. Looks like it is a definite start down there for me. Might be time to get a new wetty.
