sorry no, but if you haven't already discovered it, it's worth making an account on the following and reading the trading section. Occasional good buys.

not for sports. it has a noticably slow shutter lag (time between pressing button and it actually taking the shot) which is frustrating, along with it's low continuous shoot speed.

but love a lot of other things about it. IMO The totally manual video control opens up doors to amazing stuff never achievable before at this price range and i can use it to teach the theory side with which is why i bought it. High ISO is amazingly clean compared to any other canon model currently out.

things i don't like:

the shutter lag

no fast access to bracketing (typically canon)

only 3 bracketing exposures (typically canon too)

low burst rate

no flash built in and no inbuilt focus assist light

it only has 9 main autofocus points, and only the centre AF point is cross type, but even so - i've noticed it does still focus faster and more reliably in low light on all 9 points compared to 40d and 50d. I'd imagine the bigger sensor is helping that?

if you don't own any or many lenses, i'd personally go the d700 nikon route if you want full frame for sports at good price at the moment - but who knows what will come out next now that canikon seems to have jumped in the "must churn out a new one every couple of years" band wagon

btw, not sure if u already own the 1.4 or know it's ins and outs, but i've got the 50 1.4 and it's not much better than the much cheaper 1.8. focus is slightly faster, quieter, slightly sharper / contrasty and slightly more reliable focus accuracy, but hard to justify the difference in price.

Haven't got it yet, am seriously looking at upgrading the camera in the ext few months, so still trying to decide on which body to go for. Don't have so many lenses at the moment that I couldn't do the swap to a Nikon, and that may well be the better option...

Off to the states in October, so who knows what I might come back with from over there.

I have found that a good lens can make a huge difference. I just bought a fixed Nikor 55mm 1.8, on a Nikon D80, and for portraits it is very, very nice. Cost around $200. Lack of zoom can be fixed by moving one's feet.

Landscapes or sports you are going to need a zoom. Just be aware that the lens you get may be better than what the camera can do, so don't go completely overboard.

There is way too much information on cameras and lenses at www.dpreview.com

I am not familiar enough with the differences between the D40 and D60 to advise, apart from saying both are an excellent introduction to DSLRs.

Look for a fast lens. < 2. My 1.8 allows me to shoot at night, in poor light without a flash

55mm is perhaps a tad too long for around the table shots, had to lean right back for this one.

But on a more important note:
