Hi all
I am very keen to start windsurfing or kitesurfing, I live in Wynnum and I want to get out on the water both to keep fit and because it looks like great fun. I am not a surfer but I have done a few lessons in windsurfing and I am slowly picking it up. Which sport would you guys recommend for me to take up. Also I have a very low budget, is there somewhere where I can hire/buy equipment?

Cheers Dee

You will find both parties passionate about their sports, i am a windsurfer but like the idea of throwing a kite in the boot of the car and just a small bag of goodies, also like the idea you can generally sail a kite in lighter winds, but love windsurfing and just cannot be dragged away, you need to try both.Plenty of second hand gear in these forums just click on buy and sell

Cross country skiing is better for fitness and you'd get about the same amount as you would windsurfing or kiting in Brisbane.
.... sigh
