I know the plan is to go to Pebble beach this coming Sunday...what if we meet at Mooloolaba spit, have a sail around lunch time and meet at "the Yacht Club" around 3pm. Nice spot for the family and kids. If the wind doesn't come at the right angle we can always sail around Goat Island and have the meeting after at the Yacht Club.
