My folks have just moved from WA to Noosa, so I'll be popping over semi-regularly. Is there decent windsurfing up that way, consistent winds? Any wavesailing to be had?

To answer your question yes there is, but infrequently is the issue, wave sailing not even closely comparable to WA. All beach breaks really no outside reefs like WA.
Best to get some general freeride/blast kit to leave here for winds of 10-25knts but mostly under 20.
