A few of us have sailed in the tweed river near the golf course. You can launch from fingal head side or you can drive down the public road behind the gold course (full of pot holes). It works on a southerly or northerly.

On Wednesday I went to an great little cafe on the Fingal side and the wind was perfect for that spot about 20 knots SSW. Didn't have my gear though.

Ive done afew drift dives there,so mind the current it can hook through there pretty quick.be sure not to get in a position where you might have to clamber up some nice oyster covered rocks if the wind drops out on you.
