it happens...

I once smashed the nose off a board the first day on it, actually after about 10 runs. More recently I destroyed a boom the second time out on that.

Feel for you bud, i took the nose of my board and put a hole in my sail on their maiden voyage. Took it upto coloundra city sailboards for a repair, must say he did a perfect job.

i was driving home at 8ish last night, my strap randomly snapped, and my board got dragged along at 80km/h
result; cracked nose thats sanded down to wood.

oh bugger,

might need more than solarez for that. important thing is to not get any water in there so fix before sail.

you have my sympathy. caloundra wind and surf is the place to get it fixed on the sunny coast, he does most of the repairs up that way and the other shops send boards to him.

down here goodtime have a surfboard shaper they send to.

Ive just dared to look at it again, and isnt that bad.
Isnt cracked, just sanded back.
Perhaps on monday ill pay simon a visit, and see what he thinks, whether its worthy of a proffessional repair or just some magical diy stuff

When I go on the highway, I have been putting two seperate straps on each bar. There is an awful lot of pressure at 80km/h let alone 110km/h.

Thanks Scully for reporting the incident. I don't feel so paranoid now.
