I'm having some computer power supply issues and my laptop wont charge. i'll try and sort it out but in the meantime these are jpegs straight from the camera with no edits. John I don't seem to have any of you with full sun on your face.

Nice photos Justin, they certainly highlight the difference in technique.

What struck me looking through the photos is that vandos sail is consistently raked back or over more. That type of thing doesn't usually jump out in a photo but on that day it was made more clear because it meant every shot of Vando had him in full sun and every other shot the sail was casting a shadow on the sailor.

It shows what I have to work on:
- bend the knees more
- lean and push the sail over more with the front hand
- pull in my back hand

yeah you were upwind more. i moved around though. once you guys started sailing lower i moved down to the next bay.

i tried to figure out how to shoot video correctly last night. I've really got no idea. i think I've got a better grip on it now but would have to say it was a fluke it worked on sunday.

Comparing the two photo's I think the fastest gains in technique you can make are to
1. Lose the bucket hat
and
2. Get a pair of cool sunnies

But it might be the Gun sails, I wouldn't be dieting until I'd proved otherwise
