I am keen if it has any substance but I am a bit scepticle. It's up and down and all over the place where I am... near the airport... nice and warm tho so might fill in a little later with any luck

I'm skeptical that a sceptical might be a receptacle for a seppo...

I sailed Shearwater and was disappointed - it was very gusty and each gust shifted between NW and NE so was pretty challenging. The kiteboarders couldn't keep them up . The 6.6 was never overpowered and I'm only light. I knew I should have gone to Wello.

Never sailed an outgoing tide at shearwater on a Northerly. I imagine it wouldn't be good. You want to go about 5 minutes south, to Southport/The Train.

That said I'm not sure the outgoing tide actually flows north at the train, all the banks and the main channel make it flow in odd directions, it is rarely an issue though.

The Train in a warm, summer NE can be epic

Thanks for the tips. I'll head there next time. I didn't even give the tidal flow a thought.
