I've been funemployed (to use your term) for six weeks now. It always amazes me
how many people are out sailing on a weekday. About eight today at Currumbin. Twelve on a Shearwater Wednesday a few weeks back. There is actually less parking at the train on a weekday, same for any shopping centre.
DON'T ASK ME ABOUT TODAY AT CURRUMBIN. Possibly my worst sail ever. No, it definitely was now I think of it. Good swim though and funny in retrospect, but I was ready to pack it in entirely (like go kiting) after 60+ minutes of drowning in the great washing machine. I'm not sure I even sailed at all. Your swim savers use line, whose purpose in life is to keep a rig attached to a board, most likely in surf, that is
thinner than the line you use to close up a mast bag. What the story there, man?
PS I'm fine with the UJ breaking long after my spirit did, not bad at all, but I'm going back to Chinook for a number of reasons. I still love your sails.
PPS No I'm not going kiting. I actually learnt a lot today. Eye of the tiger, man.
