I just ordered a brand new 100l Atom IQ and will receive it in a week. Will report back after trying it out. I live in the Bahamas and sail on the south ocean shore of Grand Bahama Island with mostly side on and onshore coastal conditions, including chop and small waves on the shallow reef, half mile offshore. Waters are crystal clear and warm. Sailing here is mainly in winter and spring, with about 2 to 3 days average sailing days in winds from 15 to 30 mph.

Sounds like a fantastic place to sail,I have a 2015 carbon atom 100 and still love to sail it especially in rough conditions. Not sure what the new board comes with on the fins but a junked standard fin for a G10 flying objects 36 and it was massive improvement. Don't know how they have changed the latest atom but still love mine although I've now allso got a naish starship 100 and love that too. Be really interested on what you think of the Atom. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for response! Mine is also a 2015 model that was on sale, brand new for US $1599 with the 36" Drake fin. Sorry to hear it's not "all that" and I ordered an extra fin, 32" as well. The 2017's, same as the 2016 models were not in store yet for a another month. I did hear the 104l, which replaces the 100, was a disappointment.

Just had my first outing on the Atomiq 100l/ 5.7 Gator sail in 20 mph onshore choppy conditions, but it was short lived. In less the 15 min. the wind increased to 25 to 35 mph and I had to come in, too overpowered. Yet, in those 15 min., I was impressed with the speed, comfort, control at high speeds and propensity for the board to jump effortlessly on the smallest ramp. Can't wait to go again.

Fantastic board i have the 100L 2015 model its fast and and handles the chop very well for its width 68.5 .Only when the wind gets plus 30k it gets a bit of a handful.

My Atom 100 gets out on the water more than my outher boards evan when I should be on smaller kit ,I've set it up for speed and sail of the fin it doesn't disappointe. I think because its so stable and easy to sail it can be pushed harder that my freerace and slalom kit mabe not as fast but just fun

Shame they dont make a smaller one say 90 ltr' 62 wide. I tried the 2015 100 atom in 30 kts plus .it was a handful. You cannot underfin the 100 because of the width .
