Hi all, i'm heading over to Geraldton for the first time next Year From Mid Feb - Mid March. I've been told the best time for wind is Nov - Jan but due to my finances this year cant' go till later. Hoping someone can tell me if it's worth going at this time (mid feb - mid march). Also what time does the wind crank when it does? Is there wind most days? what are the water conditions like? does it honk every time there's wind? is it crowded? (probably a stupid question) and whats its like in Geraldton gernerally. When there's no wind, apart from going to the pub, is there anything to do, sights to see, good ways of kiiling time or is it just chill on the couch and wait for wind? Any advice /info re anything would be appreciated. Iv'e done some research myself but thought it might be a good idea to get some info from people who have been. Also where do most people stay. So far i'm looking at places in Geraldton.

Thanks in advance

Hi Sambo,

Post this on windsurfing general discussion and I am betting you will get a reply from Mark Australia. Good bloke, lives in Gero and holds the record for most posts on sea breeze.

Cheers Ant

Thanks man. I need my own space though. Otherwise i'd take you up on the offer. Surf doesn't get too big does it? 3ft's (head high faces), my limit in heavy / powerful waves / surf.
