I was at Goolwa a few weeks ago, and didnt have any trouble with weeds. There were a bit of weed near the Aquacafe for the first 10m, but after that it was clear.
The other side (Rankines landing) was clean and weed free.
On the right day, Goolwa is still a fun place to sail. Try to avoid consumption of the water in Goolwa lake. Acidic or otherwise, it will make you puke
