Hi everyone, hope you are doing great. I'm windsurfing in Melbourne right now, but un a couple of months I'm planning to move to somewhere else, of course where I could windsurf. How is SA to sail in winter? It is actually windy (20 knots or more) to get in the water a 2 or 3 times a week???
My idea is go where the wind goes, so... where would you recomend me? I prefer wave sailing.

Thank you !!!!

Its a bit hit and miss.

if you have maximum flexibility with work plenty of Nthlies at Mid or Middleton and a few SW'rs along metro coast.

The odd southerly at the mid.

Some winters rock and some are ****e

Its a lottery really
Heres a Taste from Lano on a long weekend last winter

Lower south east SA caters better for wavesailing in general all year round imo.
Im very biased of course being from mt gambier.
Wind from ALL points of the compass can be catered for with big swell in winter and better than adelaide swell in summer.
Not to mention im the only winter sailor down here and I need a sailing buddy.
You couldn't go wrong anywhere in SA for good crew and a top social beach vibe.
Food for thought

if you do a search or have a look for "day st" or "middleton" in the SA forum you will see one of our winter sailing spots. As previously posted some seasons are better than others.
