Hey guys...

Sorry to put up quite a few but trust me it was so hard cutting down over a weeks worth of photos to what i did. Tried to get a few of everyone but there are more of me unfortunately because that's who my old man was watching most lol!!!

Anyway hope you like them.

It's called a Boom Bra it is to protect the Board when you get catapulted or full off and the boom hit's the board it is something that you have to worry about with the new boards as the are not tuf skins so the ding and crack easily.

That's a good idea. Coincidently, I was thinking about how to protect the tip of my
board in the event of a catapult. I'll have to get one.

Only works on some boards. if you have your boom really high or have a really stubby nosed board then the boom wont even hit the nose and the mast will be the thing that dings the board. I just put them on by habit now no matter which board i'm on!!!

Hi Bubs. My boards nose sticks up and the mast hits it. I've done a few square on
catapults now and have already put a small ding on the nose. It's only a matter of time
before it gets broken.

lol yeah my dad went through that stage badly. if thats the case it might be worth you putting some sort of padding down the mast underneath the boom to stop that... may not look to special but worth saving the nose of your board!!!

Just a thought.

I was over in WA recently & was getting my mate back into sailing. He was prone to the odd catapult & so much to his disgust, I duct-taped a 2 litre milk bottle to the nose of the board. It looked too cool! It even earned him the nickname "bottle-boy" amongst the local crew. But his protests subsided when one of his catapults managed to blow the bottle top off at great speed after a wicked catapult. No damage to the board. I'm thinking of marketing it

I did a similar thing today- Gaffa taped foam to my board tip. It looked gumby,
but did the trick. I'll get the proper thing soon.

I cracked the harness today at Largs bay, yah ! :) (just before it blew it's tits off)
