I'm coming thru some time around Tues 29 or wed 30th of September. Depending on wind and whats happening at sandy point, might stay a coupla days in SA or go striaght thru to SP.

Just packing up the Winter Cup Trophy to present to SA Demons, how many of you will be in SA vs SP?

Just give us an idea. The longer stay of my trip in SA will be on the way back around early to mid Nov.

I have accomm in Adelaide at Binny's Bros house. D has already offered and have his contact details.

G'day Hardie,

I'm going to be in FNQ on a fishing charter when you come through Adelaide on your way over, but will be back here for sure on your way back through to the west. I'm always keeping an eye on SP weather anyway, so if there's a decent front during your time over there, I'll try and do a quick trip.

If I miss you, I might see you in the west in early January.

Hope you get good winds on your trip.

Cheers mate.

Hi Hardie,
I have been meaning to propose a SASD team gathering and this would be a good opportunity to have one. It would be great to have a good turnout to receive the trophy and welcome you to SA. What suburb are you staying in? Most of the team lives South of the CBD with a few North so a central location just south of the CBD would probably be best, perhaps somewhere on Unley Rd? Who else could make it during the week?
Regards, Tim.

I think I got off on a bad start with one of the SA Crew, I just got told by a Demon that they were really disappointed in the sound of my voice expecting to hear a wise mature gentleman instead they got the voice of and I Quote: "An immature wanker"...... How ebarrassment

How much exploration has been done of the Google sandbars off Ceduna, and Streaky Bay, and the salt ponds near Penong or are they secrets and I need to delete this post?

Apparently the salt pond closest to camp has been Kited and sailed on occaisons (i asked Ron last if crew sailed last time I was over - 18 months ago) not sure about depth - the one nearest the windmill lake - I have had a despo sail in the windmill lake one trip and it was howlin sw'r gusty over the sandhills but was a bit of fun when the surf was out of control.

My lads teacher worked in Ceduna and used to sail in the bay there - not sure where though.

Looks like some decent wind next week though - good luck with your adventure

If your around there is going to be quite a few crew at Beachport over the October Long weekend - 4-6th I think.

Flat and wave sailing - apparently some good speed locations at the spit - not that I would know as going that fast is too scary - give me waves any day.
