Coming over to S.A for a windsurf/supsurf holiday this December. I was wondering whether to stay at Beachport or Robe? I have not been to either before. Is one better than the other for wave sailing and sup surfing? Not after anything too challenging. (eg 1' to 4')
Which town has more to offer? Cafes, pubs etc?
SE seabreezes by December? Thanks

Beachport nicer place to stay less busy but if strong se can be a bit chilly - bakery and a good coffee

Robe prob more likely to get cross off wave sail - busier and more range of cafes etc a few good surf choices

its a 50/50 and from beachport you can drive further sth or to robe if conditions are right

enjoy the SE is a great place to explore

Dude, Beachport is where you speed sail on Lake George. WR location

I saw a lovely beginner surfing wave there and would have been on it but sailed instead.
Cafe breaky burger is worth going back for a second time. Bakery pastry is real good too!

More to do at Robe for the rest days, short drive to LG and surf from Beachport. A hard choice

Thanks for your input guys. I think we'll probably camp at the park next to the small lake in Robe. A friend recommended that one as it's out of the wind. From there it look like an easy commute to the lake and Beachport to give em a go. Will I need a weed fin on Lake George?

Hi baywavebill, I'm in mt gambier and sail the coast from brown bay to nene valley. Good variety of wave states here. The spots are 45 mins from beachport and 1hr 20m from robe. Seabreezes hit a day or two after down here so you get two or three days up north then it dies but can continue for 2 days after here further south.
Happy to join you and show the ropes on my local

I'm at Beachport, sea breeze can be fantastic in December with zero crowds, I would base there before robe as a lot more sailing options. Hit me up when your gunna be around.
