After a mega week of wind to end July August must have been the worst ever end to winter

how many sails have you managed in august - how many with waves (3 sails 2 with tiny waves I think)

Does this mean we will get a cranking September and seabreeze season - someone must be stat collector out there from past seasons

Fingers crossed for a plod this weekend

Havent had a sail for 4-5 weeks.

Went to a climate conference and they say this is going to be the norm in years to come. The High pressure cells will push down sooner through winter time and therefore the low fronts will not make it into the SA coastline.
Hopefully this means the sea breezes and will kick in earlier and longer through out the year. Really these days I prefer that over the last few winters.

As for this weekend that is slowly going to crap, But who knows maybe a surprise session

Yep, crap.
Arrived at Day St last weekend as everyone was packing up and heading home, so turned around and went home. Wind had dropped out while I was heading down there.
Arrived at Uturns a few weeks ago to find a couple of people standing around on the beach with their gear, yep, wind had dropped, but went for plod anyway.

So 1 sail is on the calendar for August and it was a very under whelming sail at that. 10knot no waves.

September doesn't sound any better, dry a warmer than normal means no fronts.

Access to Sellicks is becoming more accessable with the Superway and upgraded Southern Expressway. You might see some new Nacixems at Sellick's this summer if the northern beaches aren't working Russell
