Monday is looking good for a Port Hughes sail

Yup, Christmas afternoon looks good! So doe the rest of the week if prepared to go over to Yorkes or sail 15km offshore!

Sems is looking great in the arvo!

It will be a guaranteed epic session, as it falls on xmas day when you shouldnt be sailing anyway(murphys law)

Im allowed to go out and play after luncheon

Just curious, new to Adelaide so getting used to the wind reality. What happened today at Sems vs Seacliff? I was on a 7.5 around 4pm to 6pm. was Ok. But was it nuking at Semaphore? I'm trying to get a feel for where I should go in certain conditions. I've already learnt if straight South, go to Sems and it will pull in a little and head East up there and increase in force. Same deal with SW? or no point leaving Seacliff? So far I get skunked more at Seacliff and I hate that I get offshore and sometimes it just dies out there. What about when we get straight North or Westerlies?

Drive down to Boggy, it tends to get the wind and regardless of direction it can be sailed.

i was at the beach at 6pm and it was 5.3 weather, then almost 4.7m at 7pm onwards.

I had a good few drinks so couldn't drive anywhere.......so I just sailed off Glenelg beach at about 6 ish! I'm never windsurfing p!ssed again!

Thanks Quatro, yes I like Boggy too, but really only go there if there is no wind here or it is pure offshore and dangerous. Thanks for the summary on Sem's too. I take it that is because it is closer to the plains than glenelg and Seacliff?

Thanks for the south oz hospitality, I had a great sail at boggy today, what an awesome spot. Hope to get out there before going back to victoria, if I can get a leave pass.

Bugger......I will need to be more careful with my posts in the future to make sure I always mention boggy the best and fastest (until the water level drops again) big fish free windsurfing spot around Adelaide.

It is so good it is worth the 15min drive for me!
