Off to Bruny this WE.
Forecast is for strong SW (at this stage).
Too onshore for Cloudy Bay ??? Looks like the beach on the eastern side of the isthmas could be ok in SW-anyone sailed there.
Houston I believe you have had some experience (good & bad) sailing on Bruny.

Well I just saw on the news that they are running out of money to pay for the rescue chopper.

Better not do that again

When the swell is big and it will be this weekend it's fantastic.
SW is cross-on but on a big swell is not too choppy.
Head up the beach into the corner and get out behind the beach break, that can be viscious.
When the swell gets over 6m there's a bombie out in the middle that jacks up to mast and half, starts to break then hits deep water just before the beach break so you can keep out of trouble.
Just to be out it that stuff is a thrill, more big swell riding not true wave riding.
Still sailed there plenty of times on a smaller swell and it's still fun
