Windguru forecast for the SE of TAS. Highest gust I have ever seen on Windguru prior to this was 58 knots - later this week it's showing 63 knots!

Might as well at least get excited over the forecast while it is looking so good and just hope that we actually get to experience it!!

RDO today. Dedication or stupidity? Hopefully the rain/hail stops here for a sail this arvo. Not overly keen though considering the lightshow yesterday arvo. Pretty sure masts are good conductors.

Excellent Johno. Should be OK going through Derwent Bridge in the evening, but not so good in the early morning. If I have to though, will drive the long way around (done that before). Will keep an eye on the forecast. Don't want to miss Friday if it is good, but the whole weekend is looking pretty good too.

Jez, yes, happy to share a cabin in Cabin Park!!

I'll be flying up to the tropics saturday for some Vitamin D, so I'll miss all the big stuff, oh well plenty of life left. I'll be thinking of you all while I'm diving the reef in my shorty wetsuit

Buzzy will it be warmer on Sunday or does temp not come into it at this time of the year? What will the wind chill factor be?

EB! What silly questions you ask! min 6 max 10 for Fri and Sat, Sunday will be a bit warmer at min and a tad colder at max 7-10.
All up the wind chill should pull it down round 0-3.
Much warmer over on the west coast though as the wind comes of the water which is much warmer than the snow covered mountains the wind travels over to get to Hobart.

Buzzy sorry for the silly questions! I am doing some cold sailing research,as i currently only own a 2x2 springy and with winter rapidily approaching i may as not reinvent the wheel but look at my learn-ed friends in Tassie
