Forecast for Thurs looks good for Goats, swell will be pretty small so it will be great for anyone who hasn't had experience in waves but wants to give it a crack.
With a small swell it's pretty safe

Forecsat Storm Bay:
Winds North to northeasterly 5 to 15 knots tending east to northeasterly around midday then increasing to 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon. Winds tending north to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots later in the evening.
Seas 0.5 to 1 metres increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres by early evening

I'll be on the mainland so will bloody miss out but you guys have fun

If goats is too big or dumping, clifton could be a goer with that wind strengh.
for those not interested in the surf then front beach cremorne will be on and smooth water sailing at dorans ( offshore winds).
see ya somewhere.

well given the goats guru is saying maybe no, the east coast is looking like the wind is coming down, not going to be any/much swell, but the wind is look like 15-25.

Going to head to marian for a look, head off around 2:30 if wind still looking good

Might head down to Doran's as tide may be too low for Marion on the lagoon side. Kaleb - not 100 kg yet, but another week away and I reckon I would have been!!

Bit hard to see if there's white caps at Clifton, the Clifton cam is so dirty it's hard to tell what's white cap & what's filth! Derwent looking pretty quiet.

anyone sail at goats today, sailed at 'boneyard' with a 6.2 and big board, very choppy but plenty of wind for the 6.2

can second that, a very pleasant afternoon beachfront at marion...

Was a little concerned as forgot the steamer so sailed in a 2mm shorty, didn't freeze.....must be summer already or something...

96lt board, 6.3 96kg of sailor and the last 45min was very much arm stretching time.

But a nice 3 hour session.

If anyone heads down that way soon and happens to have a machete or a whipper snipper, the track is in desperate need of some pruning.

did goats happen?

nick, i agree. can we contact national parks? or should we have a working bee.
itr would be a shame to completyely loose marion due to poor access.
